CCA Leagues Information

Does the thought of getting ready for a new work week got you down? Squeeze out the last bit of enjoyment of the weekend with the Sunday Evening League! The league follows a traditional round robin league format with a playoff and is perfect for curlers of all skill levels. Draws start at 5PM and 7:15PM. This league is great for gaining experience through play, competition, and instruction.

Have a competitive side that needs satisfying? Monday Night is the most competitive league at the Charlotte Curling Association. Teams of 4 curlers sign-up together to compete for a chance to hoist the coveted Queen’s Cup. While open to all members, we recommend that curlers have some experience as there is less instruction than the other leagues available. This league follows a win/loss point system with a page playoff at the end of the season for the top 4 teams. A little friendly competition doesn’t hurt anyone, unless you come in 4^th and have to be the league commissioner the following year.

Join us for the inaugural season of the Wednesday afternoon league.   This is your opportunity to curl on a weekday AND beat the traffic.  Starting at 4 pm, teams of experienced and new curlers will hit the ice. Please register as an individual with an option to request one teammate.  Teams will be formed by the league commissioner.

This league is a great way for curlers of all skill levels to learn the doubles discipline.  This league is an open format and does not require the teams to be mixed, so grab a friend, family member, or meet someone new, and join the Wednesday Night Doubles League.

Draws start at 6:45pm and 8:30pm.

Thursday Morning Drop-in Curling at 10:30 a.m. requires no-sign up, no weekly commitment and no advance booking.  Any Club Member is welcome to drop in to play a regular curling game, a doubles game, or just to practice if a sheet is available.  This is a welcoming learning environment for new and all players.  Teams are made up on the spot at 10:25 a.m.  Our volunteer ice crew starts at 9:00 a.m. and you're welcome to help with the ice, too. Day curling is the best curling, especially on freshly scraped ice! How cool is that?

Come have fun on Thursday evenings and sharpen your curling skills in an open, round robin format with an end of season playoff. This league aims to bring a competitive, but fun environment that is still focused on developing everyone’s skills. Meet new curlers from around the club and try out new positions. If you are interested in learning to skip or vice, you can be paired with an experienced skip who is willing to help you learn! All members are encouraged to sign up.

Want to start your weekend off with some FUN? Like to broomstack past midnight? Come enjoy your Friday evenings with the Friday Fun League! This league is about enjoying the game and hanging out with your fellow Friday Curlers. The round robin format offers a fun atmosphere to improve your curling game. All members, new or experienced, are encouraged to sign up. Crazy pants not required, but highly encouraged.

When: Saturday Mornings from 10am to 12pm

This is a 5-week development and training league designed for new curlers. Meeting every week, this league includes classroom learning and on-ice work. Video analysis of delivery and a strategy session with experienced skips are highlights of this series.

The goal is to help newer curlers develop their sills and integrate to the club and curling community.

Please show up at least 15 minutes early to help prepare the ice and start on time.

All new members and anybody wanting to brush up on their skills are encouraged to attend.

Little Rockers is a delightful and engaging sport designed specifically for children ages 5-10, introducing them to the world of curling.  We welcome any children, including children or family of members and non-members.  Have family in town for the weekend and want to give the kids an experience of a lifetime? We are happy to accommodate a single lesson or a full season, just contact us and we’ll make it work for you!

Little Rockers allows children to experience the thrill of sliding stones across the ice, while also developing their coordination, teamwork, and strategic thinking. With smaller and lighter stones, children can easily handle and control their throws, fostering a sense of accomplishment and confidence. Little Rockers not only provides a fun and active way for children to spend their time, but also instills in them a love for the sport, creating a foundation for future curling enthusiasts.

Saturday Junior League is NOW... Junior League!

Juniors are 11-18 years old, and we mix exciting game play with skill development.  This season there will be some opportunities to curl during the week in addition to the normal Saturday afternoon 3-5 PM time slot.
