Looking for something new and different to entertain your group? The Charlotte Curling Association offers corporate and private group events at our state-of-the-art curling facility from September through early May. Check out this video to see an event in action:
Why curling?
Curling is a fun, active sport that can be enjoyed across a wide range of ages and athletic abilities. Our volunteer instructors make sure that anyone who wants to curl, including those with disabilities, can do so and have a great time. Behind all the fun, attendees will be learning about strategy, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and leadership – skills that easily transfer off-ice. Most attendees have never tried curling before, which makes it a unique bonding experience for all members of the group.
Even participants who wish to only be spectators will find entertainment and comfort in our warm room, which overlooks the ice and hosts our bar, TVs, and plenty of games.
Whether you are looking for a team building event, corporate holiday celebration or fun employee outing, we can offer a personalized, memorable experience for you! (Event opportunities are limited based on time and instructor availability).
What happens during an event?
Your event will start with a short introduction and safety session. After that, it’s time to hit the ice! Our instructors will break the group into smaller segments to teach the basics of curling, and then attendees will reunite into groups of eight for some friendly competition. This is a great setting for team building events, as communication, trust, and decision making are emphasized during the short game.
Following the game, our warm room is available for relaxation and socialization, which can be customized depending on your needs. Our bar offers beer, wine, and limited liquor drinks. While we do not have food preparation facilities, you can bring food in or hire a catering service.

Time Availabilities:
Evening Events: 6 - 9pm (dates on evening events vary depending on the week of the month, contact us for availability)
Daytime Events: Tuesday & Wednesdays 12 - 3pm and Thursdays 2 - 5pm (Mondays are potentially available from 10-1)

How much does it cost?
Costs vary depending on the group size and arrangement.

A typical group event (~ 3 hours) consists of instruction, a short game, and social time. We can accommodate up to 32 people on the ice at a time, with plenty of space in the warm room for spectators. (Group size minimums and maximums may vary during the season).
