Grits 'n Granite 2022 Bonspiel

October 13-16, 2022

This event is an open format with a three-game guarantee and a maximum of 32 teams. The team entry fee is $420.

Outside Club Teams

Registration for out of town teams will ONLY be accepted through the website, see the Register button at the bottom of this page.

Charlotte Curling Club Team Entry Rules

• Any team with two or more Charlotte Curling members is considered a Charlotte club team.

• Four club team slots are being held and participating teams will be selected by lottery.

• The Bonspiel Chair gives her reserved team slot to the Ice Makers. This will NOT be considered a club team in the lottery, but rather an additional club team allowed to participate in the bonspiel.

• One club team slot will be reserved for a five and under club team, which will be drawn first, and then all entries in that pool will be put into the general pool of team entries. After which the remaining three team slots will be drawn.

• Should a team register with only one Charlotte member and then change their roster to have two or more Charlotte Curling members, that team will then be considered a club team and will be subject to the lottery.

• Club team entries must register for the club team lottery by May 6, 2022 at midnight. Lottery drawing will be at the Annual Meeting on May 7, 2022. Club members do not need to be present to claim their spot, if selected.

• The Bonspiel Chair reserves the right for final interpretation of these rules.

What is Included

Entry fee includes a three-game guarantee, entertainment on Saturday night and breakfast, lunch and dinner on gameplay days as well as Lemonade & Ice Tea.

Schedule

The event will start Thursday, October 13, and end in the late afternoon of Sunday, October 16. The full schedule will be available as we get closer to the event.
