Right now, we've got 3 candidates running for the CCA Board of Directors. We will be electing one of them to serve to replace Zach Chadim, who moved to California just as the election for the other board officers was ending.
If you don't know our board candidates, you can read more about them below.
Voting will begin October 21st and last until November 3rd. You should have gotten an email from Election Buddy, our ballot host, detailing how to place your vote. All eligible voters will receive a separate "election buddy" email giving you instructions on how to vote.
Questions? Email Neil Pifer.
These candidates have graciously provided some information about their qualifications and how they would serve on the board. We have listed the candidates in alphebetical order. Please email Neil Pifer for more election information.

I have been with Charlotte Curling Association since 2014. I have prior experience serving on company boards and have held C-Level positions in finance, compliance, and strategy. My background is in Financial Services having worked for large banks and brokerage firms. Recently, I was one of the founders of the online brokerage, TradeKing, which we sold to Ally Financial. Today, I am mentoring three small businesses at Innovate Charlotte. My business experience and financial skills would be an asset to the Board. Should you elect me, I would be proud to serve on the board for the benefit of you, the membership.

I'm Ed Fisher, and I curl with the Sunday afternoon group. In the short time since I've been a member here, the one constant that continues to amaze me is how everyone is here to help one another. By serving on the board, I hope to give back as much as I can.

Hello! Charlotte Curling is my happy place, and I'm thrilled for the opportunity to serve you more. I currently play on Monday night, Tuesday night and Thursday night leagues and serve on our bonspiel committee. I've played in the Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday Saints mixed doubles leagues in the past. I'm a USA Curling Certified Level I Curling Instructor and am going for my Level II soon. I've taught over 250 people to curl, and advised multiple other clubs on how to get started. I have experience in many aspects of club management, including running a bonspiel, organizing leagues, running a stone sponsorship fundraising campaign, leading a curling website team, club administration, working with the GNCC and USA Curling, etc. In my work life I spend most of my time in financial spreadsheets, so I have lots of experience in budgeting and financial management. I hope that you will allow me to serve you as a member of Charlotte Curling's Board.
