Click below to register for LearnToCurl events on April 29th and June 17th.
You should wear warm, loose-fitting clothing and a light jacket. A long shirt is also recommended since you will be bending over quite a bit. Be sure to wear clean shoes with good grip (running shoes are good), and please do NOT wear flat soled shoes or anything with a raised heel. Gloves and warm socks are also recommended.
Registration will begin at 7pm. Instruction will being an 7:30pm.
The cost is $25 and includes both on and off-ice instruction.
See ya on the ice!
I would like to register my son, Matt Kostreba and his friend, Carly Keith for the learn to curl on April 29th. They are both high school seniors. Matt is 18 and played for the U18 team and Eastern Bulldogs HS at the rink.
He is interested in joining the curling league for the summer. He is attending SUNY Oswego in the fall which has a curling team.
I tried to use the above link to register, but did not have any success. I also tried to register at the desk, but they were not handling this. Please let me know if there is a way to register in advance or if they can just register when they arrive on the 29th. Thank you, Cindy
Cindy, I’m sorry you’re having problems with the site. I will email our learn-to-curl coordinator and give her the name of your son and the friend. Is the friend 18 as well? As with many things 17vs18 there are different membership categories.
Cheers!
Fixed! Thanks for letting us know Cindy. The registration errors have been resolved.
This is for Mrs. Kostreba who’s son is going to Oswego in the fall- they do not have a curling team at the school- between the men’s and woman’s NCAA hockey teams and the D1 men’s club hockey team and the synchornized skating teams, there is no ice time. My daughter goes there- thanks
I just read about the learn to curl events and unfortunately I am TWO days late in hearing about this.
I am a homeschool mom and VP of a Homeschool support group. My 12 year old son is also on the
Science Hounds team for the Science Olympiad competition. I would love to get a group together of homeschoolers
and science students to “learn to curl” as a team building project. Please let me know when the next “learn to curl” event
will be held. Or is it possible for you to have a “learn to curl” for a special group of children and parents.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
